Bruce Wilkinson’s study of The Prayer of Jabez takes a look at Jacob in Genesis 32:22-29.  He wrestled with an angel in a match that lasted all night.  For me, it seems that problems loom bigger at night.  Aren’t our struggles more difficult through those long dark hours?  And then day breaks, and we’ve been given a clean slate.  Jacob was even given a new name in the morning.  He begged for God’s blessing, and he received it!

I got a slight twinge in my leg muscle while exercising this morning, and decided it will serve as a good reminder of Jacob.  I will continue to wrestle with faith and wait to see what God will do tomorrow, as the Closer staff flies in to prepare for our Moms & Daughters Conference on Saturday.  I can’t believe the time has finally come!  Kathy asked, “How will we know who you are at the airport?”

I responded, “I’ll be the one jumping up and down and waving!”
