From one mom to another in the growing stages of life!

Am I ready to love God passionately? Life is so distracting. Days pass before I realize I haven’t really talked to Him. Our conversations go like this:
“Lord, help me to…”
“Lord, bless me…”
“Lord, gimme, gimme, gimme…”
How I would love to have a regular conversation with the Lord about His world and the people He’s equipped to run it. We could talk about His favorite time of day, and music that tickles His fancy. Sometimes I wonder what He would say if I asked,
“How Ya doin’ Lord?” or,
“How’s Your day going, Lord?”
I want to become passionate about the things the Lord is passionate about, instead of getting bogged down in what to put on my grocery list. He’s got more important things on His list, like justice, mercy, and humility. Those are large expectations, until we realize He has promised to do the work through us.
Lisa Bevere says there are “three instrumental ways to lift the volume to a roar: with our passion, prayers, and intelligence. As we consecrate these three areas of our lives, they merge until we love God with passionate, intelligent prayers.”
That’s my goal: passionate, intelligent prayers. Will you join me?
Prayerfully,
Sally
